About Medina

As of 2006 I am starting up my 12th year of teaching Earth Science.

Currently I am enjoying my classes at Murphy Junior High in Stony Brook Long Island.

Outside of school, I spend much of my spare time working in the local town shelter doing my part to rescue homeless dogs or to reunite lost dogs with their families (see the Dogs Link to the left). I go to the shelter once a week to meet the dogs. I also take their pictures and descriptions, walk them and sometimes give them a little grooming. I then put the pictures on Petfinder to advertise them and hopefully match them up with loving families. I also foster homeless Golden Retrievers for LIGRR until they find a forever home.

Besides the dogs that I rescue, I also have two of my own: Buddy & Lily.

My hobbies include collecting rocks and fossils, astronomy (see the astronomy pictures here) , camping and hiking, computer games and of course Web Authoring.
